The pictures in this document are of the lowest quality. I realize this, and I will fix it as soon as I find a way to buy a $900.00 digital camera. But for now, you'll have to stick with the pictures from a $60.00 one.
The first thing you'll notice upon entering my room is the size of it. Very small. But I think I'm the one that makes it small. I have too much junk. You know, the kind you don't want to throw away. I'm one of those 'box people' your mother is always telling you to stay away from. I have got boxes inside of boxes here, folks.
Anyway, to the right, you'll see two wallscrolls from the popular animé series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. AKA Evangelion. There are also a couple of un-opened Star Wars, G.I.Joe and Evangelion Action figures. Along with my Dead or Alive 2 Calander.
Now, if you look to the left you'll see my video game consoles, TV, and stereo equipment. On the wall, there is a Final Fantasy VII wallscroll, a picture of me and my brother, Jesse (when we were rather young), and my whole collection of un-opened Final Fantasy VIII figures along with my lonely un-opened Final Fantasy VII Vincent figure. There is also a lizard calander.
You can see I've got a bunch of stuff on my speakers... Wanna look? Good.
On the left speaker, I've got an opened Evangelion toy along with a figure from Macross and a little Star Wars lego. In the back is a set of un-opened Final Fantasy VII figures.
And on the right we've got my opened Final Fantasy VII figures. And... Uhm, I think they're Pokémon. One of 'em at least.. The other one looks like a McDonald's Fry Guy. The little figure on the far right is a little parachute guy. I find things all over my house... If no one claims them, they belong to me. Behind the figures is the box of the opened Final Fantasy VII figures (I told you, I'm a box person. And I bet right now, you're not as sick of the word 'figure' as I am).
To the right of my video games is the dresser. This is where I had Ooklah's tank when he was still around, but my room was arranged differently then (I had him away from the speakers).
Just recently I moved my computer boxes off of this thing so I could stick some other things on it. The boxes now reside behind the dresser.
Anyway, I've got several video game soundtracks here, my wrist thingy and wallet (yes, that pile of chains is part of it) a Pokémon Gold Card, joystick, microphone (my sisters), the Nintendo 64 Dexdrive, tape measure, computer tool-kit and my gargantuan Animé collection (Record of Lodoss War DVD and Ghost in The Shell Special Edition VHS). Whew.
Oops, I missed the video games.. Oh, well, I'll be damned if I'm gonna rearrange this whole thing.
On the top here we've got the Dreamcast. It's on top because it consumes most of my video game playing... That and I always put my newest system on top. To the right of the Dreamcast is the software. Not quite as many games as I wish I had (the web browser's in there somewhere). On the shelf below is the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation... And below them is where the Nintendo 64 games are kept and where I keep the PlayStation games I'm currently playing (at this time, Star Ocean 2 and Final Fantasy Anthology). There's a Genesis and games somewhere in there, too.
Now my lovely computer, Andromeda.
I've had this computer since April 9th, 1999. We've gone through (almost) everything together. From burning out monitors to reinstalling Windows. We've practically done everything. Okay... Well, here's some info on her..
- Intel Celeron 400mhz processor
- Diamond Viper V770 TNT2 (non-ultra)
- Sound Blaster Live! Value
- Viking Components 56K V.90 PCI Soft\Win\Lin-Modem
- Generic 40X CD-ROM
- Generic 3.5" Floppy Drive
- Cambridge SoundWorks Surround Speakers (4.1)
- 192MB RAM - 64MB=generic 128MB=Crucial
- Maxtor 8.4GB Hard Drive (down to 2.02GB)
- Microsoft IntelliPoint Explorer (with IntelliEye) Mouse
- Generic 101 Button Keyboard
Well, that's all off the top of my head... There are still things I want to add/upgrade, I just can't decide what. ...And why am I telling you this? Bah, whatever.
Okay... To the right of the monitor (No! Your right) you can see a CD holder. I don't store my computer software in there, that's where I store my PlayStation games. Odd, isn't it? You can see a stack of music CD's, which isn't my whole collection, mind you. You can also see the bleem! CD case... You just never know when you're gonna be in the mood.
You can see some speakers... The bestest mouse ever, a little Coca-Cola bear, a light, a cup or two and my beautiful computer!
You can see, on my screen, I don't have a desktop image. I usually do, I just didn't. Why? Because I get so damn bored sometimes and I just start messing with stuff! I just felt like not having an image at the time! Next time I put an image on I'll take a screen shot just for you!
And here's a slightly different angle. On top of the computer is an empty box, and on top of that is the Final Fantasy VIII soundtrack, a diskette holder and some disk's (wow!). And... You can see some of the computer's insides... Just a little though. And if you were wondering, that is a piece of paper under my mouse.
Ah, yes, where in Hades is there room for a behemoth like me to sleep? Well, in a bed, I suppose. Although I'm not sure why... I'd be much more comfortable on the floor with a sleeping bag and some pillows...
These past 17 years, I've slept in this bed. Well, not exactly all of them, I'm not totally sure how old I was when I moved out of my parents room. But I've had it since then!
I think this is probably the reason I have trouble getting to sleep. I'd have my parents get me a new one, but video games and computers are far more important.
...Don't you look at my Pepsi that way!
One last (!!) picture...
This is a picture facing the entrance from the other side of my room. The door on the right is my closet. Someday, I'll go on and actually open the door to that God-forsaken place. Maybe you could come along -=)
The poster next to the door on the left is a Quake 3 poster I got for free from my brother.
My room isn't the red/orange/pink or whatever color the camera wants it to be (you know how camera's are, indoors tend to have the red/orange/pink tint while outside it tends to be more blue). Anything with that kind of color is most likely white... If it IS white in the picture that probably means it's really white. So yeah... I even modified them.. Here's what one of 'em looked like before.
I may add to this as life progresses. No one, not even myself can say what I'll be into or what weird things I'll add to my room in the next couple of months.
