If I had one wish and one wish only, it'd be that I marry an ultra sexy Japanese chick and...Oh, w, wait! It's uh.. Ahem... It would be to rid the world of all the petty morons out there that call themselves gamers. This picture should sum it all up.
What I'm talking about this time is... Dead or Alive 2. PlayStation 2 VS Dreamcast. I AM SICK OF IT!!
If you don't know what I'm talking about, than you probably don't care.
Right now, it seems as though everyone and their siblings are fighting over which version is better, the Dreamcast version or PlayStation 2. I'm not sure if it's the comparison IGNPS2 put up a while ago that started it, but it very well could be.
Now, when a game comes out on two different platforms, it's inevitable that they will be compared. ...And... ...I lost my line of thought... Sigh.. I hate it when that happens.
But what I want to get at is that the two games are the SAME DAMN GAME!! So what if the graphics are slightly better on one of them?? So what if there are a few more costumes in the other? WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL?!
Wait... I think I got it! The morons are the only ones that care! Anyone who has less than half a brain cell would buy whichever one is available to them and drop the damn system/company loyalty!
Besides, Tecmo developed both of them.
If Tecmo decides to release DoA2 on the PlayStation 2 in the US, I'll probably buy it. If not just to have another good game for the system.
You want my opinion? Well, I can't really give one, since i haven't played or seen the PlayStation 2 version. But here's what I think anyway.
The PlayStation 2 version sure as Hades better be the more graphical superior one. Hell, it better be the superior one -- period! (.)
But I seriously don't care. Like I said above, I'll probably end up buying DoA2 for the PlayStation 2 if it arrives here in the US. Then I can have best of both worlds! Woo yeah!
Whew..! I feel much better now that I got all that out. ....Onward!
I got an e-mail from Thor the other day... It was a nice little letter, he just wanted to thank me for linking to his site. Of course, anyone who knows me knows that I made a complete fool out of myself. And I'm sure you've guessed by now, that's exactly what I did. I became one of the morons I was just talking about.
But can you blame me? No, wait... Don't answer that. It's just that I was excited. "Thor actually e-mailed me??" is what was going through my mind... So I thought it was someone playing an evil, evil trick on me. Alas, it was not. DOH!! I wanted to hurt myself badly... Therefore I did.
In his reply to my reply, he proved it really was him... And I went on to destroy the tiny bit of dignity I may have had left. "Thor actually replied to my e-mail??" .... Sigh...
You know what this whole experience reminds me of?
Well, you know those kind of stories where the person climbs the big mountain and everything looking for the dude that can answer any of his/her questions? Sure you do.
And then that person finally finds the dude that'll give him/her eternal life and whatnot. But he will only answer three questions... And the person wastes the three questions by asking things like "Can you really answer my questions?" or "Why is the sky blue?"... Stuff with obvious answers like that (yes and just because).
I feel like that person. I actually had the chance to talk to Thor (not that he's blocked me from contacting him or anything...yet.) and I blew it! I cried like a little school girl for days.
Well, I'll have some money next week. But I'm still not sure what I want to buy. Alundra 2 has fallen to the bottom of my list now that I know it's nothing like the original (which, if you didn't know, is one of my all time favorite games....Ever.). This doesn't surprise me, but it still disappoints me.
I could just buy a few sound tracks... Although there are a LOT I need to buy, but I'll only have enough money for three (That's if they're $50 a piece, which some are less and possibly more. And I will NOT buy Son May or Ever Anime). The list includes Chrono Cross (I heard some of the music from the demo and that was enough for me to make this a must-buy), Star Ocean 2, Xenogears Creid, Final Fantasy VIII Arranged, Dead or Alive 2 OSV (if it even exists, which I SWEAR I saw it a while ago) and a few more that I can't remember at this moment.
Man, that's quite a lot of money... I'm definitely going to buy the Chrono Cross OSV... But I won't listen to it until I play and beat the game... Damn me and the way I work!
Or I could go with my original plan and buy a much-needed hard drive. Something in the range of 20 - 30 Gigs would last me... A year. Possibly a little more.
And of course, there's the PlayStation 2....
By this time next week my brother should have DSL... And I just can't wait. I'll actually be able to download some of the crap I never did 'cos I didn't want to wait all night for it to download (it takes me about 50 minutes to download a 10MB file)... Although we don't need DSL to have a LAN party.. But now that he's got a computer, we can finally do that! Woo! Of course I'll have to go out and buy a NIC... But what does that cost? $20? Bah.
Have you seen the commercial for the new dollar? You know, the one with Mr. Pres. George Washington? What is up with that? A commercial for ...MONEY?! I don't know what it is, but something inside me is saying that you don't need to advertise money. Most people already know about it and want it.
Am I the only one that thinks this is a waste of the stuff they're advertising? Am I missing the point of this commercial? Is this just to try and make the new dollar trendy? What is it all about?! This has been racking my brain since I saw it for the first time.... Somethings never were meant to be known, I suppose.
Oh well, that's all I've got for now. I haven't got anything major planned this coming week... Except for maybe ditching home for a few days and going to my bro's house... I'll update from there. Of course I'll tell my parents. Who do you think I am? -=)
