Uhm... WOW! Yes, you knew I was going to talk about X-Box, didn't ya? If you did not know, then you probably have no idea what the X-Box is...
X-Box (codename for now..?) is going to be Microsoft's first gaming console that'll probably be released in the fall of next year. Sure that's a little vague, but if you want the full scoop, head on over to IGNPC.
I was caught totally off guard for what I have read/seen. This thing is powerful. And I just can't wait for it. 300 Million polygons a second. Yeah, yeah, I know... It all comes down to the the games. Well, Konami, Namco, Capcom and several other big publishers/developers have already signed on. I really don't think good games'll be hard to come across on this baby. And sure, not all the specs have been released yet... Hell, I don't even think it's complete, but still!
Well, I'd love to say more, but I really haven't got much more to say on this issue. Except that I am really excited about X-Box... Even more so then the PlayStation 2. (I need a bloody job!!!)
And no, I am not anti-Microsoft. Never have been.
Something that is nagging me is Nintendo... Maybe I'm speaking to soon, with it not even being 24 hours since the X-Box announcement, but I think Nintendo should really give out some more info on Dolphin. I know Nintendo knows what they're doing, but seriously, I'd like some more damn info! As I'm sure everyone else out there that has any interest in Nintendo's next system does!
Speaking of which, Nintendo officially delayed Dolphin to the first half of next year. That's good news for me, no tough decisions this year... But if Nintendo comes to close to the launch of X-Box, I may be stuck in the same boat (or Nintendo might delay the system to 2002.... Which I can see happening.)
And what about Sega? Do not worry. Sega is kicking so much ass right now that... I can't even think of a way to describe the ass-kicking. Despite what I said above about X-Box, I don't need 300 million polys (drool...) to play my games... I just need good games! And the Dreamcast has proven itself more then once that it can deliver.. Ehg, well, that is, the company's that made the games proved it, but you know what I mean!
I seem to run out of things to say... Aw to hell with it!
