Well, it's Super Bowl Sunday, just like any other Sunday for me. Usually I have nothing to do on Sunday's except for watching The Simpsons, X-Files, etc., etc... And since it's Super Bowl, not even those'll be on. But luck is on my side! Oh yes, it is! Last Friday I got Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver for the Dreamcast! And I can tell you, I really wish I had bought it for the Playstation last year. I would have, but I didn't have enough money. But then on the other hand, I'm glad I waited 'cos if I didn't I'd only have 3 Dreamcast games! It's now at 4. Including Crazy Taxi - I don't have it yet, but I will this week, unless off course Sega decides to do something not-so-nice.
Seen the Final Fantasy/Square news (Square Millennium Event)? I'm sure you've read it by now, Final Fantasy IX, X and XI... IX being on the Playstation and the other two on the Playstation 2. Not a big surprise, really. The only thing that caught me off guard was XI being totally online, well, kinda.
I've got a few problems with this. And I'm going to use this section like I intended to and voice them here.
The first problem I have is that XI may not leave Japan. If it does, it'll take awhile to get here and I can live with that. But not at all? It may be for the better (i.e., my last problem) but still...
My next problem is the online only aspect. I enjoy online gaming as much as the next guy, but if you have to pay-to-play I'll be really disappointed, as I'm sure everyone would be. If it's not pay-to-play it's trying to get online with it. I'm not the only one in my family that uses the Internet, by far. And by that time (If we get it in the states, I'm guessing 2 - 3 years) more of my family members are gonna be online. And no, I doubt I'll move out by then. I'm staying here as long as I can. Then again, if we don't have some kind of broad band access by that time, I might have to do something desperate.
The last problem I have with it is my health. This game looks like it would kill me. It looks like it would suck me in and never let me out, not even to eat. Not even to use the restroom. If that were to happen, my family knows what to do with me and my games (bury me with them all!).
Ahhg, I'm just not in the mood for this today. I'm gonna try to....uh, well do something slightly different next time...
